Mom has always considered animals, especially her dogs 
and her horses
to be special blessings! She cannot live without them. Recently, her faith selected a new leader. The white smoke was seen and a new Catholic pope was elected. Mom wondered how this would affect her and us. The first hopeful sign was his name selection, Pope Francis, which honors St. Francis of Assisi. The second was his blessing of a guide dog , showing his knowledge of our work helping people with disabilities and need for public access! Mom and I are very thrilled!
